Jill Manczka - Program Director

Jill has 23 years of experience as an educator serving as a special education teacher, online learning program director, assistant principal, and principal.  Additionally, she has worked as a Communications Director for an educational service agency.  Jill is an adjunct professor at Westminster College’s Graduate School of Education where she teaches online courses in Special Education and Educational Leadership. She earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Duquesne University and a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.  She holds a K-12 Principal Certification and a Level II Instructional Certification in K-12 Special Education.  In her spare time, Jill enjoys distance running, traveling with her husband and son, and reading.

Sarah Johnston - Coordinator of Instructional Learning & Technology

Sarah Johnston Staff Photo Sarah is involved with the day to day operations of Waterfront Learning, as well as providing professional development to our schools, completing fiscal reviews, and invoicing.  She also coordinates the master schedule within our student information system, and assists with the integration between our courseware systems and our student information system.

Sarah started with Waterfront Learning as an Elementary Teacher, and has also served as an Implementation Specialist for the program.  She earned a Master of Education in Reading from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University.  She holds an Instructional Certification in Elementary Education K-6, Mid-Level English 7-9, and a K-12 Reading Specialist Certification.

Sarah likes to spend her spare time with her husband and daughters.  She also enjoys camping and reading. 

Lori Keener - Supervisor of Special Populations and Student Services

Lori has over 15 years of experience in education as a special education teacher, assistant principal, and program supervisor.  She earned a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Point Park University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University.  Recently, Lori returned to Slippery Rock University to earn her certification as a Supervisor of Special Education.  She holds a Level II instructional certificate in elementary and special education, supervisor of curriculum and instruction, supervisor of special education and is certified as a school principal.  Lori loves to spend time with her son, read a good book, or enjoy time outside.  She looks forward to the opportunity to support the success of all students in the virtual learning environment.

Craig Sinning - Systems Administrator

As System Administrator Craig is involved in all technology-related aspects of Waterfront learning.  Craig prepares Waterfront’s computer fleet, pulls reports for school districts, and manages waterfrontlearning.com. He is also responsible for behind-the-scenes work including making our courseware systems talk with our student information system. You are most likely to encounter Craig on a tech support call.

Craig joined Waterfront Learning in the Fall of 2010. He has extensive technical support experience, a master’s degree in Leadership and Information Technology from Duquesne University, and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. During his free time, Craig enjoys spending time with his family, video games, and fly fishing. 

Erin Haburjak - Virtual Learning Outreach Specialist

Erin has 10 years of experience as an educator serving most recently as a first, third, and fifth-grade teacher.  Erin has been an induction guide for new teachers and staff for the past three years as well.  Erin earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Early childhood Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.  In addition, she earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh.  She holds a Level II Instructional Certification in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a Prek-12 Reading Specialist Certification. Erin enjoys spending time with her three children and her husband.  She loves swimming, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.  

Debra Sevcik - Data Enrollment Specialist

Debra Sevcik staff photoDebbie has been a key member of the Waterfront Learning team since July of 2021. In May of 2022, she was promoted to Data Enrollment Specialist. Before joining the Waterfront Learning Team, Debbie has held administrative support roles at Alcoa, K&L Gates, Elizabeth Forward School District, and Federated Investors. She attended the Bradford School of Business.  Debbie enjoys spending time with her 4 adult children, family, friends, and especially with her grandson.  In her spare time, she loves to entertain and enjoys being outdoors at her family’s cabin.

Marsha Shively - Administrative Support

 

Marsha is the newest member of the Waterfront Learning team and joins the team as our Administrative Support.   She comes from the McKeesport Area School District where she worked in the Guidance Department and their Technical Center.  Her work experience in other industries includes finance where she held the position of Executive Secretary to the Controller at G. C. Murphy Company.  She also held the role of “Girl Friday” at the M. Hanna Co. C.P.A. firm.  Marsha enjoys taking care of her active and fun-loving mother-in-law, spending time with her husband and their three adult sons.  Her two brothers are out-of-state, and she enjoys keeping up with them and their families.  In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, spends time in daily devotions, and researching current events.
